House of Volume was founded on the core belief of living a voluminous lifestyle. Volume means more to us than just lashes: it means making the most out of life, indulging in luxurious services, receiving high-end treatments and finding a little luxe in everyday life. HOV believes that all beauty should be celebrated and we pride ourselves on creating an uplifting environment where all babes are free to feel good in their own skin.
House of Volume was established in 2018 by Ananda Dobbs and Taylor Wettlaufer, two creative entrepreneurs who share the same desire to create a luxurious brand that empowers women. Their passion for life and beauty is unmatched.
HOV BOND
HOV created a technique that gives our clients durable retention. This bond allows them to use their favourite oil-based face products and to indulge in a worry-free eye rub. Our bond also takes away the extra scheduling of hair wash day or a good sweat session around their lash appointment, giving them lashes for any lifestyle!

Volume Refill: 1hr 15min | $70
Includes cleansing, removing overgrown extensions and adding lashes to reshape and fill your set.
Light Volume Refill: 1hr | $60
Includes cleansing, removing overgrown extensions and adding lashes to reshape and fill your set.

LASH STYLISTS
Ananda began her lash career in March 2017 after gaining certification and accreditation from BXD Lashes. Growing up on Vancouver’s east side in a blended family full of inspiring and successful entrepreneurs she learned that a strong work ethic as well as passion and purpose were essential requirements for success. Eager to embrace a new adventure, she left the corporate world and with her extensive business knowledge landed in Ontario to take the beauty industry by storm. As a mixed Trinidadian and European woman who has been on a 10 year journey of body acceptance through fitness and nutrition, she is an advocate for finding beauty in all forms. You can find her on both the East and West coast building a remarkable life and name for herself.
Taylor has long been in the beauty industry, graduating beauty school at the top of her class and working as a hairstylist for a rewarding three years. While she loved the industry, she knew she had more to offer and soon took the leap to becoming a lash artist. She was certified and accredited through Xtreme Lashes in September 2015, and in 2016 trained with Lia Juhas, award winning eyelash technician, educator and founder of Lia Lash Pro. As a child she spent most of her years on a rural farm with very little exposure to the world of beauty and glamour. Soon her world would change when she stumbled across Confessions of an Heiress by Paris Hilton to show her there was more to life than climbing hay bales. Before long sequins and rhinestones would be the stepping stones to building an amazing life for herself.

What are volume lash extensions?
A: Eyelash extensions are a semi-permanent procedure that involves intricately bonding a synthetic lash extension to each individual natural eyelash with a medical-grade adhesive. Volume lash extensions (also known as Russian Volume) are light-weight extensions that are hand-made into fans during your appointment and customized to your style preference. HOV only offers volume extensions because we can create a natural, light volume look or a more dramatic style.
How long do lash extensions last?
A: Lash extensions last through the entire growth cycle of your natural lashes, which is typically six to eight weeks. Please note that this does not mean you will have many lashes left around this time period. Refills are necessary every 2-3 weeks to maintain your lash extensions as our natural lashes are growing and shedding on a daily basis. The natural shedding cycle varies for everyone.
Do eyelash extensions ruin your natural lashes?
A: When applied correctly, eyelash extensions will not cause any damage whatsoever to your natural lashes. Some clients note that they feel like their lashes are shorter after a removal, but this is actually an illusion due to being used to seeing the extensions on. There will be no breakage caused during your application. With that being said, uneducated lash technicians can jeopardize the integrity of your natural lashes and in rare cases cause permanent damage. Please do your research and listen to your technician if they advise you that you cannot go longer in length or increase thickness. Lash and eye health is our number one priority at HOV.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
HOV requires you to arrive with all eye makeup removed. If you arrive with makeup or residue of any kind on your lashes, we cannot guarantee retention. If you are new to us, ensure all online forms have been filled out prior to your appointment. Some clients opt to not drink coffee right before their appointment as it makes them jittery and unable to relax.
Do eyelash extensions hurt?
The application process is entirely painless! Most clients are so relaxed during the process that they fall asleep. You should never feel any discomfort during or after your procedure.
Can I still wear mascara and eyeliner?
A: The beauty of lash extensions is that mascara and eyeliner is no longer needed! HOV does not recommend the use of either. These products can cause a buildup in your lashes that can affect your overall retention and lash health. If you do choose to wear eye makeup ensure you are thoroughly cleansing your lashes. Be sure to ask us for tips and tricks on cleansing your lashes!
Can I get my lashes wet?
A: Yes! It is a myth that you cannot get your lashes wet and there’s rumours that you must shower with goggles on to keep your lashes dry. It is actually quite the opposite; by not cleaning or getting your lashes wet you are inviting debris, dirt, makeup and oils to buildup which is the most damaging thing you can do for your retention and overall eye health.
Can I come to House of Volume if I currently have lash extensions on from another establishment?
A: With the sudden surge of unqualified individuals offering lash extensions, we are seeing an increased number of improper applications. This makes it challenging to do a lash correction in the time allotted for a refill appointment. Due to this, we unfortunately cannot perform a refill service on extensions done outside of HOV. HOV recommends scheduling a professional removal and full set.
Do I need to remove my lash extensions and take a break?
A: It is a huge misconception that you need to “give your natural lashes a break” from extensions. Since our natural lashes are growing and shedding on a daily basis (and your extensions are growing off with them) there are always new and healthy lashes available for extensions so no break is needed! The only time a break may be recommended is if you’ve had an improper application. At HOV lash and eye health is our top priority so we can assure you your lash extensions will always be done properly.
Do extensions make your natural lashes fall out?
A: Your natural lashes fall out whether you have extensions on or not! When your extensions shed, you should see a natural lash attached. Just like the other hairs on our body, our eyelashes are always going through the hair growth cycle and shedding on their own.
How do I clean my lashes?
A: HOV recommends using a baby shampoo or a gentle cleanser, foam it up on your fingers and gently but thoroughly cleanse your lids and lashes and rinse with water.

GENERAL
We have the right to refuse service if we suspect a medical condition that would be infectious or interfere with the health of the eyes while wearing lashes.
Approximately 40% of your extensions are required to be eligible for a refill. If 0-40% of extensions are left a full set is required.
We are unable to perform refills or maintenance on eyelash extensions we did not originally perform.
A Lash Bath will be complimentary if you arrive to your appointment with makeup and buildup on your lashes. This will affect the amount of time available for your lash appointment.
We kindly request you notify us of any changes or cancellations 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.
If you are late, we will do our best to complete your service in the remaining scheduled time. However, you will be charged for your service in full regardless of what we are able to finish. If you are more than 15 minutes late we may not be able to service you and may have to reschedule your appointment.
HOV offers a guarantee on all work provided. If you have any concerns with the service you have received, please contact us. A complimentary touch up (45 minutes) may be issued if we deem necessary and must be booked within 5 days following your original service date
COVID 19
Please ensure the COVID questionnaire located in your reminder email is filled out along with your contactless waiver form.
Please wear a mask during your appointment; we will also be wearing masks. Complimentary hand sanitizer must be used upon entry. Travel lightly and keep your personal belongings with you for the entirety of your appointment. We also ask that you don’t bring any guests with you.
HOV has contactless checkouts and payments. Only credit cards, debit cards and digital payments are accepted at this time.
